אני שליו ביטון, הייתי לוחם בחטיבת הנח״ל ונפצעתי אנושות במבצע שומר החומות. מאז הפציעה, הפכתי את הסיפור שלי למנוף לשינוי – לשבור סטיגמות, לקדם את השיח על פרוטזות ונראות שונה, ולהראות שהייחודיות של כל אחד מאיתנו היא חלק מהנוף הישראלי החדש.

המחזיק הזה נועד לנרמל את הפרוטזות ולהכניס את השיח עליהן לשיחה הציבורית. הוא נולד מתוך הרצון שלי להראות שגם כשיש לנו מאפיינים שונים, אנחנו שווים וראויים להיות חלק בלתי נפרד מהחברה.

בנוסף, 20% מהרווחים נתרמים לעמותת אלומות בעומר, שפועלת לזכרו של עומר טביב ז”ל, שנפל באותו אירוע שבו נפצעתי. התרומה מסייעת למלש”בים ולחיילים שאין ביכולתם לרכוש את הציוד הנדרש לשירותם הצבאי.

The Story Behind the Holder

I am Shalev Biton, a former combat soldier in the Nahal Brigade, and I was critically injured during Operation Guardian of the Walls. Since my injury, I have turned my story into a catalyst for change—breaking stigmas, promoting discussions about prosthetics and different appearances, and showing that the uniqueness of each of us is part of the new Israeli landscape.

This holder is designed to normalize prosthetics and bring the conversation about them into the public discourse. It was born out of my desire to show that even when we have different characteristics, we are equal and deserve to be an inseparable part of society.

Additionally, 20% of the profits are donated to the Alumot BaOmer Foundation, which was established in memory of the late Omer Tabib, who fell in the same event in which I was injured. This donation helps support pre-military recruits and soldiers who cannot afford the necessary equipment for their military service.
